**Assistant Management Accountant - About The Role**

In this role you will be working within a finance team of 10 and will be reporting into the Management Accountant. You will be a key figure in the month end process and will also be required to assist within other areas of the finance function.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
- Assist in evaluating performance and trends of monthly results.
- Maintenance and reporting of the fixed asset register, including depreciation & additions.
- Reconciling balance sheet control accounts.
- Preparing month end journals and raising ad hoc sales invoices.
- Assist with the mandatory reporting for the business such as ONS.
- Supporting the year end audit files and liaising with the auditors.
- Assisting with the monthly payroll process and any payroll reporting requirements.

**The successful Assistant Management Accountant will have**
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Be actively studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA
- Working knowledge of Sage would be desirable
- Strong Excel skills
