Job Description:
Position Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Ballymoney
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Hours of work: 39 hours per week (4 day week Mon-Thurs)
Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all processed materials meet the required quality standard and customer specifications.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out audits of the processes and products to ensure that all processed material & completed assemblies meet the required quality standard and customer specifications
- Working as part of a team to determine root cause analysis of all non-conformances and support corrective/preventive actions
- Liaising with production to continuously improve quality standards within the factory
- Support production on a daily basis with any quality issues
- Audit completed assemblies for conformance to requirements
- Issues investigation and resolution
- Collation of information and feedback
- Any other reasonable duty as requested
Experience Essential:
- A minimum of 3 years experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in welding and fabrication
- Experience with weld symbols and reading engineering drawing
- Previous experiences within the quality remit
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and problem solving techniques
- Excellent communication and assertiveness skills
- Ability to negotiate
- Computer literate
Experience Desirable:
- Time served welder/fabricator
- Weld inspection experience or CSWIP qualification
