A new Dairy Herd Manager is sought after to manage the entire Dairy operation on an impressive large scale unit. Setting itself apart from others, this farm has been built with innovation and progressive ways of thinking at the heart of it.
Moving forwards with the times, this business utilises cow data to have a proactive approach on herd management. It is essential for the next Manager to have a thorough understanding of supportive farm software and how to interpret data - enabling the farm to progress in the right direction.
As Dairy Herd Manager, you will additionally be required to manage and support the established team beneath you; including delegation and rota management. Cow health and welfare is the highest priority within this business, it is your job to ensure problems are rectified before they emerge.
**Requirements**:
- Come from a large dairy farming background.
- Passion for the Dairy sector.
- Be experienced in managing teams, offering a fair and supportive approach.
- Embrace farm technology.
- Adaptable mindset.
- Proactive, forward thinking approach to management.
- AI Qualified would be preferable.
- Ability to liaise with internal and external teams.
- Maintaining the highest of standards on farm.
- Accustomed to benchmarking and budget management.
- Excellent stockmanship skills.
- IT literate.
- Full UK Driving license.
