With recent information systems experience you will provide an effective and efficient data management and helpdesk service for the organisation in relation to ESR and Registration Authority (RA).

You will be involved in supporting the ESR team on a day to day basis, in relation to Workforce Data Management, ESR Manager Self Service support and Smartcard management.

You should hold a NVQ Level 3 in Business, IT or Administration or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, demonstrate a good understanding and importance of confidentiality and data protection and have effective problem solving experience.

Experience of ESR or other information systems within an NHS setting is desirable.

A self-motivated team player, you should be enthusiastic, determined and energetic with a flexible working approach. Provide an accurate and timely service with responsibility for data entry and maintenance of Workforce Information within the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) & Trac systems.

To be responsive to a diverse range of queries and incidents related to ESR and supporting users of ESR Self Service and Registration Authority (RA)/Smartcards whilst maintaining a polite and professional first line call logging and resolution service.

Provide comprehensive and robust data quality checks and systems administration in relation to ESR & Care Identity Service (CIS), maintaining user access rights.

To ensure the Helpdesk Support Service received by employees, sponsors, users and customers is of a high standard, by working to agreed procedures to support the delivery of excellent customer services.

Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a proactive team of support staff responsible for delivering a high quality, customer-focussed professional service, dealing with problems and analysing issues which are not straightforward.
- To maintain and update ESR on a daily basis, relating to starters, changes and leavers in a timely manner, utilising the Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process. Ensure documentation and paperwork is filed appropriately and securely.
- Extract data from ESR on a regular basis to support departmental processes and data quality checks.
- Support the re-validation of employment checks where appropriate e.g. Professional Registration membership and DBS.
- Assist with the medical doctor’s rotation in a timely manner in association with Medical Resourcing and Recruitment colleagues.
- To be aware of and comply with the need for strict confidentiality and security of all IT systems and personal records and to be aware of, and comply with, all relevant legislation.
- Be responsible for managing the distribution and maintenance or Smartcards across the Trust in a timely manner.
- Follow approved policies and procedures to register, update and remove user access rights.
- Hold face to face meetings with users to ensure that the users are correctly identified, and that ID evidence is correct, register users on CIS, take photographs of users and print cards; ensure registration information is correctly documented.
- Ensure users are aware of their responsibility to select a high-level pass code i.e. a combination of alpha and numeric and protect their ESR and Smartcard passwords.
- Re-issue Smartcards which are due to expire, are lost or broken, reset passwords when Smartcards have been locked, amend access roles, and, where n
