You'll be joining a highly skilled and motivated team which makes a real difference to the residents and communities of the borough and will be at the heart of developing a strong 'One Hounslow' brand and identity - a whole council, whole borough approach - which galvanises communities, attracts people to the borough and makes us an influential voice for our residents.

You'll play a pivotal part in providing strategic financial guidance and establishing strong partnerships that have a significant positive impact on the services they support. Developing a creative, detailed and insightful big-picture approach to their financial challenges and opportunities, you will act as a key advisor for financial decisions and support delivery of the corporate plan. Supporting effective strategic financial planning, budgeting and monitoring and investment appraisal you will bring a sharp focus on forward-looking, large scale, complex and high impact decisions.

CCAB or CIMA qualified, you have strong financial management experience in a large public service organisation including overseeing the preparation of annual budget setting process, financial, performance monitoring and final accounts. Your ability to provide financial, budget and accounting advice to financial and non-financial staff including compliance with financial regulations and audit recommendations will make you a champion for excellent management of financial resources, promoting probity, efficiency, high performance, overall value for money and best practices to ensure the delivery of the council's objectives.
