Head Waiter

**The business**

This award-winning restaurant serves small plate/tapas of Spanish, Portuguese and North African flavoured dishes, in a casual-dining setting whilst still providing full-service and seasonally changing plates alongside the core menu items.

The aim is to provide excellent customer service and food but in a relaxed, personable yet professional environment. **Role**

The position would suit someone who enjoys working in a clean, tidy and well organised operation, where service goes smoothly 99% of the time.

You will be managing a section of 8 tables in a 30-cover section of the restaurant and supporting all other sections with a strong team dynamic.

Key to this role will be having sufficient ability to effectively describe our unique and seasonally changing menu items to customers, ensuring an excellent customer dining experience is achieved.

**Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for ensuring our timings are adhered to so that we can have a smooth service each and every night.

We always strive to have excellent communication with the kitchen and each other sections, so being able to share key information back to the supporting teams in a friendly and confident manner is an essential and core responsibility.

You will also be responsible for:

- Setting up the restaurant tables in line with evening bookings
- Effective order taking and advice to meet customer needs and kitchen requirements
- Utilising the comprehensive till system so that orders a clear and precise
- Processing bill payment
- Creating vouchers on our till system
- Maintaining clean and tidy work environment
