**Position**: Caretaker

**Location**: London Borough of Merton

**Salary**: Starting at £14 per hour - dependent on experience

**Hours**: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 minute unpaid break)

**Start**: Immediately

**Your Responsibilities**:

- ** Premises Maintenance**: Ensure the academy premises are kept in pristine condition by conducting regular checks, repairs, and upkeep of facilities, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas.
- ** Health and Safety Oversight**: Implement health and safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations to maintain a safe environment for all.
- ** Security Management**: Monitor security systems, perform lock-ups, and respond promptly to any security-related issues to safeguard the academy's property.
- ** Event Support**: Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for school events, assemblies, and examinations.
- ** Supplier Liaison**: Coordinate with external suppliers for the delivery of maintenance services, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in caretaking or a related field.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
