Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Finance Systems Analyst. This role is based in Leeds City Centre and is offered on a hybrid basis with two days being office based. Working within a professional services business this is a great opportunityfor an experienced systems analyst to join a business who encourage change and new approaches to existing practices.
The main focus of the role is to support and maintain the systems that the business use on a daily basis, this will involve understanding, analysing and resolving any issues that arise and will ensure that management information and reports are produced anddelivered promptly and accurately.
- Analysis and the resolution of all system issues
- Dealing with complex problems/issues and escalating them when needed
- Maintaining systems controls for data and security
- Reconciling and providing ad-hoc reports on a weekly and monthly basis for a number of different projects using data systems.
- Acting as a superuser for the business systems and troubleshooting around any technical issues and resolving/escalating if required.
- Identifying and highlighting any anomalies and correcting data issues.
- Supporting with the development of new processes in order to improve efficiencies.
- Working towards key service level agreements and ensuring that work is completed to targets and deadlines and working to set KPI's and deliverables.
- Carrying out ad-hoc and project analysis to identify and rectify issues caused by the production of information.
- Assisting with the testing and implementation of new processes and ensuring that system setup processes are fully documented
- Supporting the team and developing own skillset by experiencing and using different analysis tools.
- Ensuring that all supporting documentation and administration is completed and remaining compliant to the company/industry governing bodies/guidelines.
- Liaising with other teams within the business and being a point of reference for any analytical/finance/IT queries or problems.
You will:

- Have proven stakeholder management experience and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ideally have an understanding/ some exposure to SQL and have strong analysis skills.
- Be technical in nature and will ideally have an interest in systems and problem solving.
- Have strong data analytical and numerical skills.
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings back to key stakeholders.
- Have good organisational and planning skills with the ability to work proactively and unsupervised when required.
- Be able to look for ways to improve current processes and streamline existing procedures.
