Foresight North East Lincolnshire will soon be providing a 'Buddy Scheme' in which individuals with additional needs within the local community can access their free annual health checks with the support from a Buddy.

The Buddy will support the individual to and from their GP appointment and sit with them through it. They will be able to offer guidance and be able to answer questions regarding the appointment.

You must:

- Be friendly and approachable
- Have good knowledge of the local area and public transport (if you do not have your own)
- Be respectful and patient

Training in regards to the role and health check appointments will be provided so that you are able to answer any questions asked by the individual you are supporting.

Please be aware that this is **not** a paid role, however, transport costs will be reimbursed. A full DBS check will be provided as well.
