Head of Estates

DLW recruitment are currently partnering a well established College based in the greater Manchester area, they are on the lookout for an experience Head of estates to oversee Capital projects and budgets alongside leadership of the wider estates team onsite.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Estate Planning**:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive estates strategy aligned with the educational trust's mission and growth objectives.
- Assess current and future needs to ensure that the estate infrastructure supports the evolving requirements of the educational trust.
- **Facilities Management**:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for the day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify and prioritize maintenance and improvement projects.
- **Financial Management**:
- Oversee the budget for estates management, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality and safety of facilities.
- **Compliance and Health & Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Implement and regularly review policies and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant estate.
- **Project Management**:
- Manage major construction and renovation projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.
- **Sustainability Initiatives**:
- Drive sustainability initiatives within the estates department, exploring opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally responsible practices.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including trustees, senior leadership, staff, and the local community.
- Communicate effectively about estates matters and provide regular updates on key projects and initiatives.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration).
- Proven experience in estates management, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent project management abilities.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
- Financial acumen for budget management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
**Salary**: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
