**Job Purpose**

Provide support for MPBU Machine Shop Team, ensuring NCR’s and Audit Findings raised on the AEM intranet Sharepoint Non-Conformance System both Internal and External for the Metal Finishing workshop are fully investigated and completed in a timely manner.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Undertaking a breadth of tasks including Precision Grinding, Honing, Boring, Milling, Turning, CNC Turning, Bush/Bearing Fitting working on an extensive variety of components from a wide selection of different aircraft platforms.
- To assist, as required with the monitoring of stock levels for bonded metal and consumables.
- Support with delivering Production Planning using the Quantum Forward Load Report.
- Support with the implementation of initiatives to improve manpower utilisation and process improvement within the MPBU Machine Shop.
- Ensure quality requirements are always met.
- Support with promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement; maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support with the maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Ensure all relevant Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments, Local Instructions are kept up to date and delivered to your team accordingly.

**Experience, Qualifications and Competencies**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering (essential)
- Aviation background is preferred
- Computer literate - competent in Microsoft Office.

- Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
