**Location**: Kingston Upon Hull

**Salary**: £40,000- £45,000 Depending on experience

**The Role**:
You will be responsible for the required estimating functions of the clients and tender process and have experience in quoting systems and be able to help with supply chain management, commercial and risk management, working closely with the operation teamand Directors.
- To take active responsibility for all estimating procedures.
- To follow the tender deliverables as laid out within business tender approach process.
- To take a lead role in the tender adjudication process.
- To actively promote company philosophy and culture.
- Be aware of element costings.
- Develop and manage company supply chain.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and work on multiple tenders and quotes at any one time.
- Understand the requirement of Design & Build tenders and importance of Contractors Proposals. Advise and assist with value engineering exercises.
- Internal reporting to the directors including keeping them fully informed of issues and potential risks to the business.
- Seamlessly hand over a completed bid to the successful delivery team and assist as necessary with the initial placing of key packages

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience and able to get stuck in without being micro-managed
- Contracts experience
- Be extremely IT literate with good knowledge in Excel/Word and MS Project (not essential but advantageous)
- Good communicator with strong commercial acumen.
- Have vast previous experience of successfully carrying out the Estimating role on a variety of projects and experience in different sectors.
- Good all-round skills and willing to help out with the growth of the company.
