Piling Designer

A competent self-sufficient Designer or Design Manager (who will be carrying out design work) specifically in domain of pile design inc. piled retaining wall design.

For the role what we are looking for:

- Responsible for all preparation of pile designs for tendering and contracts.

Contract submissions of pile designs would include production of schedule and calculation pack.

Able to coordinate and manage between inhouse design and external where this is utilised from time to time.

Oversee and assist other engineers (estimator designers predominately; where design isn’t necessarily their primary job role).

Review of tender drawings, specifications and ground conditions.

Production of efficient designs for CFA, SFA, Rotary and Retaining walls and providing cost effective solutions. Such designs should consider the nuances between these piling techniques.

Be confident to think outside the box and providing alternative solutions to clients for VE.

Represent the company in meetings with clients.

Assist with, or take the lead with closing out of design related Non-Conformances (NCR’s) or NCR which require design review as and when.

Have the ability to coordinate with internal team and external client to overcome site issues.

Must have minimum 5 years’ proven experience in piling, with geotechnical design background prior to this ideally.

Working primarily from Dartford -there would be option for some flexibility in this i.e. minimum 3 days in Dartford Office.

Working hours 08:00 - 17:00.

Depending on the workload there may be scope for the designer to then take on additional staff to oversee and manage.
