EM Acoustics are looking for an organised, motivated, and dedicated individual to join the team as a Warehouse & Logistics Operative, to assist the current Warehouse Supervisor. The demand on the warehouse has increased to the point that additional help is needed, based at our factory on Dunsfold Park in Cranleigh, Surrey.

Warehouse & Logistics is a key part of the company, primarily responsible for all goods in and out of the factory. In addition to this, the role holds responsibility for accurate and clear management of the warehouse, ensuring that staff can find relevant stock items as & when necessary. Workload has increased to the point that an additional operative is required to assist the current Warehouse Supervisor. In addition to this, the role is also being expanded to include management and maintenance of demonstration stock, as well as pre-picking critical component parts for upcoming production jobs to highlight any stock issues.

At a time when the company and the factory are undergoing significant changes, this role is a critical one that can have a significant effect on the company’s future.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Goods in - receive deliveries, inspect for correct items and relevant quality and store in appropriate warehouse location. Ensuring paperwork is signed off for checking correctly and taking personal responsibility for that checking process.
- Preparation of orders for despatch - picking correct items, recording relevant serial numbers/item details, packing & wrapping of pallets ready for despatch.
- Production preparation - picking critical component parts in advance of production batches going through the assembly floor to ensure stock accuracy and highlight any errors that could hold up production. *
- Loading vehicles whilst assisting drivers to ensure efficient dispatch of goods.
- Booking of small parcel couriers for national and international dispatch of small items.
- Liaising with freight agents for booking both incoming and outgoing larger pallet freight, to ensure the best combination of cost and service.
- Generating appropriate paperwork to accompany shipments.
- Processing items in for service & repair - this involves developing the framework system already in place to one which is more reliable, booking items in that come for service, arranging return to suppliers if necessary, generating relevant service report paperwork so items can be charged to customers, and arranging return of items to customers.
- Management and Maintenance of demonstration stock - ensuring that appropriate items are packed and prepped ready to go out on demonstration, with the correct paperwork. Ensuring that the correct items are returned after demonstrations, and working with others on the upkeep and maintenance of that demonstration stock to ensure it always leaves in the correct condition.
- This task is completely new to the role, and as such would be developed over time with support from the Directors.

**Secondary Responsibilities**
- Assisting with other areas of the factory as & when required - when primary responsibilities are completed.

**Training Provision**

Ongoing training/recertification as required on forklift licence.

Hands-on training and support with logistics systems (couriers, freight agents etc).

Training on accounts package as & when necessary.

**Working hours**

This position is permanent and is available immediately. Working hours are Monday-Friday 9am - 5.00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Flexibility is available within these hours where lunch break can be extended to 60 minutes, with corresponding extension to the working day. Overtime is often available on successful completion of the probationary period.

Current holiday provision is 21 days per year plus all national bank holidays.
