**Position Overview**: As a Finance Business Partner for Housing at Hastings Borough Council, you will play a crucial role in providing financial guidance and support to the Housing Department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues across different functions, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead in delivering a high quality, effective and professional Finance Business Partnering service to budget managers and council stakeholders related to the council’s Housing Services, including temporary accommodation, housing development and homelessness.
- Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all Budget holders and their
- Improve the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance. Providing analysis and delivering insight linking financial reports to business strategies.
- The provision of accountancy, budget setting and monitoring and final account services.

**Requirements**:

- ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with demonstrable post qualification experience and development.
- Experience of delivering a customer-oriented service
- Extensive experience of accounts closure, budget setting, and monitoring
- Knowledge of local government accounting procedures
- Experience of using a general ledger system
