This is an exciting opportunity to provide support and leadership to our Night-Time Team and work with individuals who are vulnerable and homeless, helping to ensure safety and wellbeing in the community they live in.

Maninplace operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing access to emergency, temporary, long-term accommodation, and Assisted Living provisions for people who find themselves rough living or homeless in the Telford and Wrekin area.

You will be responsible for leading a dedicated Night team who work across our operational estate and provide the first response to out-of-hours emergencies, assisting fellow team members to provide swift and appropriate actions that result in a positive outcome. You will assist in the response to out-of-hour customer referrals received by the organisation and handle calls from staff reporting absent, sourcing cover where appropriate and referring to the on-call manager when necessary.

Your committed and supportive approach to leadership will be key to ensuring night-time operations run smoothly and promote a safe and secure living environment for all customers in service.

**Hours of work**

The role will consist of an average of 42 per hours per week, based on a working pattern of 4 nights on and 4 nights off. (Overtime is available from time to time.)

Normal hours of work will be between 22:00 - 10:00 hrs.

Maninplace operates 365 days a year, therefore shifts will include bank holiday and festive period working.

**Salary & Benefits**
- Salary of £30,576 pa (equivalent to £14.00 per hour). Pay is annualised so you will receive 12 equal payments on the 27th of each month.
- 28 days annual leave entitlement.
- 1 additional leave day after 1 year of service.
- Any break entitlement will be paid and must be taken on site.
- Access to the work-based pension scheme with company contributions added after successful 3-month probationary period.
- Mileage allowance of 45p per mile for in work travel.

**Qualification & experience**
- You will be required to hold a Full UK driving licence and have use of your own vehicle, with business use insurance cover (this is essential to the role). Evidence required at induction. (You may be required to add this to your existing insurance policy, policy & insurance company dependant).
- Qualifications at level GCSE or above in English, Maths.
- Experience in housing/supported housing or homelessness provision would be advantageous.
- Relevant experience in leadership or management and staff supervision
- Experience of CCTV operation is desirable but not essential.
- Must be computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Office Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate is required for all applicants.

**Job Summary**

As the Night-Time Supervisor, you will be responsible for the out-of-hours leadership of staff members who work across the estate throughout Telford and Wrekin. You will work with vulnerable customers who often have a chaotic nature and lifestyle and can present with challenging behaviors as result of life traumas and addiction(s). Alongside the Night-Time Concierge workers and Homelessness Engagement Workers, you will assist with the delivery of support to our customers and ensure every individual has the best opportunities of potential success, thus preventing a return to homelessness or rough living.

You will be available to respond to requests for assistance on the estate throughout the night shift. This will include being Maninplace’s representative to any emergency services attending to our customers and/or Staff needs. You will help team members at the emergency accommodation in matters relating to new referrals and use of available bedspaces, assessing risks and needs of the individuals requiring our assistance, without judgment and prejudice.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure working environment is always maintained. You will positively challenge and support people to understand their behaviour and associated impacts, with a focus on de-escalation and calm, positive outcomes. You will provide night-time workers with regular 1:1 support and performance reviews, helping them develop within their respective roles. At the end of each shift you will liaise with service managers providing a comprehensive handover that will aid day staff with necessary information to support customers.
