Bedfordshire Police are recruiting for the Accelerated Detective Constable Programme (ADCP) a fast track program to take you from applicant to Detective in 2 years. Applicants are sought with a curious, inquiring mind, who think they have what it takes to be a Detective.

In you first year you will be required to complete the current intensive regular Police Officer training as well as the National Investigators Exam. Officers will then progress to receive specialist Detective training within an investigative environment.

Following successful completion of the two-year training period, officers will be confirmed as a Detective and posted within one of our specialist investigative teams.

**Recruitment and Selection Policy**

**Police Barred and Advisory Lists**

Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
