**Chaplaincy Assistant aims**:
1) To assist the Chaplains to provide support and care, space and prayer in the heart of the Campus

2) To help foster a working relationship between the Chaplains and the student groups who use the Chaplaincy Centre

3) To welcome students to the Chaplaincy Centre: particularly those wishing to explore questions of faith, peace and justice and to offer a listening ear to all

4) To help look after the chaplaincy footprint (inside and out) and ensure it is available and usable for all

**The role includes**:
1. Presence in Chaplaincy - to be agreed, but should include availability for:
a. Monday lunchtime Service
b. Tuesday Charity Soup lunch

2. Acting as a point of liaison between students and chaplains

3. Keeping an eye on the post and checking and tidying the Chaplaincy regularly, ensuring the layout is maintained

4. Coordinate others to, and help, keep the kitchen tidy

5. Attendance at Management committee once a semester

This is a part-time role, working 6 hours per week for a fixed-term contract until June 2024.
