School Chaplain

**Chaplain - Greenwich**

Forward Teaching are seeking a Chaplin for our client based in Greenwich to start in the Autumn term of 2023. This role is open for full-time, permanent, or part-time applicants. The school are seeking to appoint an inspirational individual with outstanding pastoral abilities to lead the spiritual life of the school. The new Chaplain will play a vital role in helping to shape the experience and development of our pupils as well as staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Encourage staff and pupils to live the faith by being involved in projects relating to social justice and global citizenship
- Accompany people at particular stages of their journey through life
- Develop suitable activities to mark and celebrate the major feasts and seasons of the Church
- Support staff and pupils in their planning, preparation and leading of liturgies and collective worship
- Engage with Continual Professional Development (CPD) relevant to the role of chaplain

**Requirements**:

- Suitable to work with children and relate to them, in particular 11-16 yrs age group
- Working knowledge of Data Protection Act
- Experience in leading faith development programmes
- Qualifications in Pastoral and Youth work (Desirable)
- Willingness to undertake further training as required
- Flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the organisation

**Schedule**: Term Time + INSET Days

**Salary**: £24,254.00-£35,081.00 per year
