**About us**

**This is not a normal Transport Planner role. This role combines conventional transport planning of HGV vehicles along with Trade Plate drivers and vehicle inspection agents.**

TVL started out as NVN Transport back in early 2020 as a trade plate car collection and delivery contractor for online car auctions during the lockdown.

TVL now serves the retail, auction and private markets moving vehicles ranging from motorbikes to Heavy Goods and Passenger Carrying vehicles.

Our clients include car auctions, large national finance and fleet companies, vehicle retail dealerships, independent car dealers and private customers.

We are looking for a Transport Planner to join our growing team.

Transport Planner

**Job purpose**
- To abide by & promote health & safety, ensuring all approved policies & processes are followed.
- To support our busy trade plate and transporter drivers, vehicle inspectors and subcontractors on a full-time basis.
- Briefing and de-briefing drivers daily.
- Planning, routing and scheduling our busy driver and vehicle assets.
- Support the Transport and Compliance Manager ensuring Driver Hours and Regulations are being adhered to.
- Support the Operations Director with future business planning and strategy.
- Building friendly, professional relationships with the driving team and support staff.
- Actively managing and flexing the routes and runs to promote overall efficiency.
- Allocating work daily, weekly, and monthly in concert with the Operations Director.
- Administrative duties e.g., filing, daily and weekly reports.
- Work with the customer service team to meet service requirements.
- Provide support to customer service team during busy periods.

**Essential Skills / Experience**
- Management of a team.
- Transport Planning: 3 years (required)
- UK Transport knowledge
- History of Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- B Class (Car) licence and own transport.

**Desirable Skills / Experience**
- Management of a team or drivers/transport staff.
- Mototrans planning.
- Motor trade (Car Sales) knowledge.
- HGV driving licence.

- A track record of people management and soft skills
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
- Proven experience in Transport Planning
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and non-verbal
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- UK geographical knowledge
- An active, analytical focus with a high capacity for multiple tasks

**Qualifications**
- GCSE Maths
- GCSE English

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
