**The Position**:
The duties you will be performing as part of your role:

- Investigate alleged breaches of planning control, including protected trees and listed buildings.
- Clarify if the allegation constitutes development.
- Review site history and assess permitted development rights.
- Interview and take statements from developers, builders, complainants, and others.
- Take photographs, and measurements, and compare them against submitted plans.
- Work closely with Development Management, Conservation, and Policy Planners.
- Pursue appropriate action to remedy breaches, in collaboration with other services.
- Contribute to efficient service operation as part of the enforcement team.
- Maintain investigation records and prepare formal file notes.
- Serve notices by hand when personal service is required.
- Organize, maintain, and develop systems for enforcement inquiries.
- Contribute ideas and assist in reviewing enforcement procedures.
- Lead specific improvement projects in consultation with the team leader.
- Perform other relevant duties as required.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Experience in providing support in a similar service area and knowledge of relevant systems and procedures.
- Experience and understanding of planning enforcement processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and on own initiative, organizing work to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to undertake site visits and collect necessary data and information.

**Rate**:£40 Per Hour (Umbrella)

**Commencement Date**: May 2024

**Work Hours: Hybrid **37 Hours, Monday - Friday / 9 am - 5 pm
