Lecturer - Computing (Further and Higher Education)

In the role of Lecturer in Computing you’ll predominantly be based at the Waterfront Campus and your focus will be on delivery and assessing of Computing courses covering elements in Esports, Games Programming, Software Development and knowledge of Cyber Security. Your key responsibilities will be teaching to an array of levels of Computing studies, supporting students in their studies. Manage student database systems and report on progress and results, take responsibility for the planning and delivery of Computing courses. Esports, Programming and Cloud are the key developments in Computing and you would be expected to teach on programmes which include a range of these units. Ideally, you’ll have a degree in Computing Science or similar (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in Computing studies from further education or industry It’s important that you’re able to communicate with young people in order to support their journey through education and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
