BTG is currently working with an established manufacturing business, this role will present an opportunity to work closely with the factory leadership team.
You will not just be crunching the numbers but given the autonomy to get around the business and make a difference.
The Role
Your new role as the assistant financial controller will see you taking ownership of the entire business unit and managing month-end duties such a journals, accruals and costing.
Duties will include:
- As the new team member, you will assist the Finance Controller's Industrial and Finance Manager with their daily tasks, which include completing monthly management accounts for industrial companies, posting relevant journals within Group deadlines, andreviewing and controlling overhead-related cost centers.
- Generate regular and valuable reports for the Industrial Senior Leadership Team, providing updates on weekly direct labor efficiency, capital expenditure, headcount & FTE, variable production overheads, variable material overheads, and inventory variances.
- Collaborate with the Finance Controller's Industrial and Finance Manager to prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts while meeting the expectations of cost center managers and adhering to Group guardrails.
- Support industrial business partners by developing reports and working on projects in collaboration with the Finance Controller's Industrial and Finance Manager.
- Assist with internal and external audit queries and requests for information, as well as audit stock counts.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and directives of Group and accounting standards are maintained.
