Sports Rehabilitation/Massage Therapist

RESPONSIBLE TO: Company Director and Lead Physiotherapist

HOURS OF WORK: Beginning with 10-20 hours per week including evenings and Saturday morning

At our spacious clinic we have 4 treatment rooms and a large studio providing physiotherapy, massage, run analysis and exercise classes for the general public. We are a forward thinking, dynamic company that has the growth potential to create something special within South Wales.

Your role at Back2front Physiotherapy will include:

- Working alongside our current team of massage therapists, physiotherapists and personal trainers to continue the care for our patients
- Provide soft tissue therapy to the general public
- To be a part of a team looking to improve the general health and wellbeing of the public. We rely upon inter-referrals within the company so you will be expected to follow the inter-referral policy.
- Being an autonomous practitioner following evidence based practice guidelines
- Creating blog posts for the Back2front Physiotherapy website to increase awareness of sports therapy, injury prevention and best exercises for certain conditions
- Create presentations to present to the members of the public on sporting related injuries such as concussions awareness, injury prevention and general health and wellbeing
- Potential to create and lead exercise classes for the general public
- To be proactive with CPD opportunities for which funding may be made available
- To be available for any events undertaken by Back2front Physiotherapy on the weekend/weekday i.e. stall at Aberdare carnival/races

The role is perfect if you would like to create a difference in healthcare, to bring enthusiasm, implement new services and bring fresh ideas within the company. You will be pro-active and self-motivated with strong communication skills and good time management.

**Essential Skills**:

- Bsc/Msc in Sports Therapy/Rehabilitation/massage or any other relevant qualification
- 1 year+ of experience treating patients/clients on a 1:1 basis or in groups
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to improving patients lives

**Desirable Skills**
- Pilates Matwork Qualification
- Sports Taping Experience
- Hot Stones Massage, Pregnancy Massage or other complementary therapy such as cupping/dry needling/reflexology
