Pharmacy Assistant

**JOB RESPONSIBILITY**: A pharmacy Assistant (PA) has a variety of different but important responsibilities. The PA will work with a pharmacist, and following accountabilities are attached

1. Maintain the electronic patient information up-to-date and accurate.

2. Prepare patient billing information and respond to customer queries in-person or over the phone.

3. Use the till, and sell over the counter (OTC) medicines, ensuring the protocols of dispensing are met and cross promotions of GSL (General Sales List) are activated.

4. Preparing and dispensing certain prescriptions under the supervision of pharmacist.

5. Maintaining the inventory and Ordering medications (P products, OTC, GSL) reference to the logistic schedules of the distributors.

6. Maintaining proper receipts and accounts for the goods received and tally with the PO (purchase order) released. Handling the volume and value discrepancies if any.

7. The daily invoice entry and finance verifications into spread sheets to be updated.

8. Ensure the pharmacy product merchandising is maintained and follow up with team on product display and promotions (OTC/ GSL)

9. Support the clinic prescription team for consolidation and refilling exercise.

Consequently, ensuring the daily tasks will be verified, closed and accounted daily either during or after the shifts.

They could move as a dispenser / pharmacy technician reference to the performance. Further support the employee to retain the NHS certifications for the status.

**Salary**: £10.56-£12.50 per hour

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sittingbourne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
