**Job description**

We are looking for an experienced sewing machinist to help bring our products to life.

**The role**

You will be an experienced sewing machinist who will be producing our products with the utmost attention to detail and quality of work to sometimes close deadlines. You will work closely with our design team to help design and then create our products using your knowledge of fabrics and manufacturing processes.

**Key responsibilities**

Assist in the design of our products with our design team
- Manufacturer our products using our chosen fabrics and patterns
- Simple maintenance of sewing machines such as changing needles etc
- Handle materials, goods and components carefully and comply with safety regulations and quality standards
- Assist in packing of products ready for dispatch to our customers
- Planning and organising of workload
- Ensuring quality control standards are followed
- Ensuring health and safety standards are followed

**Skills, knowledge and experience required**
- Must be an experienced sewing machinist using lace, cloth and leather
- Be able to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A positive attitude to dealing with people
- Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual
- Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions

**Desirable**
- Has access to own sewing machines when working from home

**Salary**: £12,500.00-£25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Yearly bonus

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- professional sewing machinist: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Cambridge (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cambridge
