**Creative Producer (International)**

**Job Title**:Creative Producer (International)
**Hours**:Part-time 20 hours per week (inclusive of unpaid breaks and equivalent to 2.5 days per week)
**Duration**: Post is funded through Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation status until 31st March 2026.
**Salary**: £15.39 per hour, annual salary £14,000 (Full-time equivalent £28,000.)
**Responsible to**: Head of Programming / Deputy Director.
**Responsible for**:Freelance staff and volunteers connected to specific events, including creatives working remotely oversees.
**Based**: Based in LAAF Office at Bluecoat, Liverpool. Remote working will be considered with agreed working days in Liverpool.
**Holiday entitlement**:25 days plus bank holidays pro rata.
**Pension**:Employee enrolled into the Nest Pension Scheme with employer’s contributions.

Founded in 1998, **Liverpool Arab Arts Festival** (LAAF) is the UK’s longest-running annual Arab arts and culture festival, platforming the best UK and international Arab artists. Our work continues throughout the year, with a wide range of events and participatory projects that bring together artists and diverse communities. LAAF builds connections that help more people to encounter and experience Arab culture in Liverpool and beyond.

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**

The new **Creative Producer (International)** position will play a key role within Liverpool Arab Arts Festival’s creative team. This is great opportunity for an experienced creative producer to develop LAAF’s international artistic programming.

The postholder will be responsible for the successful development, planning and delivery of an agreed portfolio of artistic projects, for both festival and out of festival programmes. These internationally focused outcomes will help successfully deliver LAAF’s ambitious artistic vision and organisational targets and objectives.

The Creative Producer (International) will research and support new and relevant creative projects across artforms. They will actively commission and support ambitious art works by emerging and leading Arab artists and creatives. This will include one-off events, co-productions, touring projects and identifying existing projects that are relevant to our audiences.

This role requires strong partnership working and collaboration. The postholder will identify and nurture new international partnerships with a range of artists, organisations, funders and embassies to achieve their goals.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Artistic**:

- Work closely with the Head of Programming / Deputy Director and Creative Producer to strategically plan, organise and deliver LAAF’s festival and out of festival programmes. This role will focus on developing our international programming.
- Lead and project manage a portfolio of agreed artistic projects throughout project lifecycles, from initial planning through to reporting and evaluation.
- Creatively explore, develop and test artistic project ideas that are innovative, ambitious and representative of Arab cultures.
- Negotiate artist fees and contracts, including the effective and efficient management of artist advancing, to deliver projects within agreed budget and perimeters.
- Become informed of, and support delivery of LAAF’s Business Plan and core targets, including those for Arts Council England, Liverpool City Council and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct research trips within the UK and internationally to scope potential performances and commissioning opportunities, and to deliver touring work as appropriate.
- Compile event copy for projects, providing information and supporting publicity for related events where appropriate.

**Administrative**
- To engage in regular one-to-one meetings and annual appraisal with line manager.
- Provide progress reports for quarterly board meetings, one-to-one meetings and funder reports within the agreed timeframes.
- Actively use, contribute to and update designated digital co-working documents to support team working.
- Work as part of the team and individually to champion and raise the profile of LAAF, events and activities. This includes actively contributing to ongoing social media and marketing activities throughout the year to the agreed level.

**Financial**
- Ensuring all projects operate and are delivered within agreed budget parameters.
- To work within LAAF’s agreed finance and accountancy procedures.
- To assist with LAAF’s fundraising activities by identifying artistic funding opportunities, working with the Director and Head of Programming / Deputy Director to develop funding proposals.

**Relationship Management**
- Managing projects and partnerships in person, virtually and across timezones.
