**About Our Client**:
Reputable Education Establishment in London

The key responsibilities:

- To ensure that purchase orders are processed accurately and within the agreed timescales and to monitor financial commitments on a regular basis to ensure that old orders are completed and that duplicated orders are identified;
- To ensure that purchase invoices are processed accurately and in order to meet University payment dates;
- To ensure that new suppliers and new customers are set up in the Finance system in accordance with University guidelines.
- To ensure that sundry/manual payments are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with University guidelines;
- To ensure that sundry receipt journals are processed accurately in the University Finance system within agreed timescales;
- To set up and maintain projects in the University Finance system using the information provided by internal and external sources;
- To assist project managers and administrators with the management and monitoring of projects
- To obtain the necessary information from contracts, other documentation and project managers/initiators needed to create new projects
- To supply information requested by funding bodies, including the completion of in-house forms
- To ensure that queries from staff and suppliers relating to Purchase Ledger and any other financial aspect are dealt with effectively;
- To provide analytical reports as required;
- To develop and strengthen links with University Central Finance staff and with departments within LSS in order to raise the profile of the Business Support team and enhance working practices;
- To support other members of the Business Support team, providing cover as necessary;
- To participate in the development and refinement of local systems and processes, working with the Business Support Partner to ensure that an excellent service is provided;
- To perform such duties consistent with your role as may from time to time be assigned to you anywhere within the University;
- To undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the role;
- To work in accordance with the University's Equal Opportunities Policy and the Staff Charter, promoting equality and diversity in your work;
- To undertake continuous personal and professional development, and to support it for any staff you manage through effective use of the University's Planning, Review and Appraisal scheme and staff development opportunities;
- To conduct all financial matters associated with the role in accordance with the University's policies and procedures, as laid down in the Financial Regulations.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Relevant degree or equivalent relevant experience
- ABW (Agresso -Unit 4 Business World) experience is desirable
- Good knowledge of EXCEL
- Relevant experience in an educational environment is desirable
- Experience in Purchase and Sales ledger
- Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to prioritise and manage resources effectively to achieve short and long term objectives.
