Adoptions Engineer

My client are an established house builder who have a requirement for an Adoptions Engineer to oversee the delivery and adoption of new build housing developments in the North West region.
Working closely with the Technical and Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the adoptions housing developments.
Adoptions Engineer duties & responsibilities:
" Supporting the Technical team (both Design and Engineering Teams) in meeting their operational objectives.
" Assist the Technical team in managing our legacy sites and new sites to ensure Works are completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
" Liaising with Adopting Authorities to ensure supervision visits are undertaken by the Adopting Authorities to ensure Works are signed off as soon as practicable.
" Ensuring the timely payment of Adopting Authorities fees to allow supervision visits to be undertaken.
" Liaising with Adopting Authorities to achieve the issue of Certificates of Practical Completion and Final Certificates and assisting with ensuring Works are put onto Maintenance as soon as possible.
" Liaising with Adopting Authorities and undertaking site inspections with the Adopting Authorities to agree necessary remedial works prior to Adoption.
" Review and survey developments for remedial Works prior to Adoption, including procuring CCTV of drains and other surveys that may be required and liaising with Local Authorities, Adopting Authorities and Statutory Undertakers as required to facilitate suchsurveys.
" Liaising with Contractors and assisting with the preparation of all Tender and Contract Documentation to obtain tender prices for remedial works prior to final surfacing and Adoption. Reviewing Tender costs and providing Tender appraisals and recommendations.
" Review Bond liability across all developments against our agreed Bond facility ceiling and monitor the extent of our liability and seek to reduce Bond liability as soon as possible.
" Procuring, programming, managing and supervising remedial works to ensure the timely Adoption of roads, sewers, pumping stations and open spaces covered under Section 38 & S278 and Section 102 and 104 and other Agreements as necessary.
Adoptions Engineer - Skills & experience requirements:
" Excellent communication skills
" Excellent IT skills (including AutoCAD)
" Time management
" Organisational skills
" Attention to detail
" Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload
" Knowledge and experience of Adoption Processes and procedures
" Experience of construction activities and remedial works necessary to satisfy Adopting Authorities requirements
" Industry/commercial knowledge
" Technical awareness and knowledge of design processes
" Computer systems and IT
" Microsoft Office & AutoCAD
The company are offering a competitive package (dependant on experience) inclusive of a car allowance, bonus, 25 days leave, 40 hour working week (site/office and home based), business mileage, pension and death in service.
