Range Recruitment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our service client(s). This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of vehicles, equipment, and other products. The Mechanic will work closely with the Service Manager and other Service Technicians to ensure that all assigned repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications.

**Job Duties**:

- Inspect vehicles, equipment, and tools to ensure that they are in good working condition
- Test vehicle systems to ensure functionality before performing repairs
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicle electrical systems, fuel systems, air conditioning systems, etc.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with precision
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, etc.
- Repair or replace broken parts when necessary
- Overhaul or replace defective parts when necessary
- Perform repairs using quality tools and equipment
- Document repairs accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate with customers and the Service Manager to improve customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean work area and perform other duties as assigned by management

**Required Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of mechanical knowledge including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintenance of various types of vehicles including cars, trucks, vans, etc.
- Ability to use basic hand tools safely (screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.)and perform complex repairs as needed by the Service Manager or Service Technician position description below.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools effectively and maintain a high level of quality in all job-related activities. (e.g., paperwork)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 weeks

**Salary**: £34,308.00-£36,197.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Mechanic: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Motor Vehicle Engineering Qualification (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
