**Job Title: Fold Operator**

**Function: Machine Shop**

**Reports to: Area Process Manager**

**Salary - Up to £12.10 per hour**

**Working hours - 38 hours per week, Monday-Thursday (4 day condensed working week)**

**The Company**

We are a successful Manufacturing company based in Gateshead, with an ambitious strategic growth plan through investment and development. We are continuing to expand the business in equipment, facilities and products and therefore require fold operators to work with us as our business grows.

**Summary of the main purpose of the role**:
Operating production machinery, specifically folding and bending machines.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate the machine to produce parts in accordance with specifications, drawings and working instructions.
- Guarantee their own work is to the highest standard.
- Show good attention to detail.
- Show commitment to good Health & Safety practice.
- Maintain a Clean & Tidy production area.
- Be a great team player.
- Participate in production planning to ensure timely production of parts.
- Participate in training activities relating to the machines, system and processes within the company.
**General Responsibilities**

The specific responsibilities set out above reflect the main duties of the role described, however as the company develops these may alter.

**Standard Responsibilities for all positions in WMW**
- Participate in any staff review/performance management processes involving the identifying and meeting of training needs for self and others.
- Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post.
- Comply with all Washington Metalworks policies and procedures
- Assist and train others
