**Job description**

Dalton Metal Recycling are looking at hiring a Weighbridge Operator based at our site in Leith, Edinburgh.

**Duties include**:

- Greeting and meeting all customers and visitors
- Managing all vehicles entering and exiting the yard by weighing their load and input all data accurately on our weighbridge FRED software.
- Providing all appropriate paperwork and carry out the necessary admin work to complete the process.
- Producing weighbridge tickets, advice notes and self bills.
- Liaising with customers, acting as first point of contact for a customer to resolve any issues/problems.
- Liaise with other colleagues within the yard and keep a steady flow of traffic moving.
- They must be computer literate,
- Proficient with Microsoft Office package.
- Have good customer service skills.
- A good phone manner.
- A good learner, the willingness to be trained with new software.
- Ability to work within a team.

**Working Week -**
- Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00
- Saturday 08:00-12:00

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
