**About the Role**:
We’re looking to appoint a Deputy Dean in the School of Animal Rural and Environmental Sciences to shape and lead our new portfolio plans and enhance the student academic experience. S/he will be a proven leader and excellent communicator, with a passion for innovative pedagogy, excellent student experience, and driving quality. In collaboration with the Head of Department and School Executive Team, and answering to the Dean of the School, you will look for ways to enhance the student experience, from fresh learning techniques to international opportunities and the graduates’ ultimate employability. As this is a student-facing role, you will need to have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. With a good broad knowledge of all aspects of Animal, Rural and Environmental Science, you will contribute to the schools’ strategic objectives and lead the development and growth of the school portfolio.

Based on the 200-hectare estate of Brackenhurst campus, the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences is comprised of a dedicated team of lecturers, researchers and students who are committed to the same vision of empowering staff and students to have positive impact on our planet, through improving the health and wellbeing of environments, animals, plants and people.
