Senior HR Advisor Generalist

As the Senior HR Advisor, you will support the HR team with generalist HR functions such as implementing the people plan and providing advice and guidance to senior management with employee relation cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management.
This is an exciting and varied role for an experienced HR Advisor looking to take their next HR career step. You will have sound knowledge of employment law, thrive under pressure, enjoy policy work, and have a continuous improvement mindset.
As the Senior HR Advisor, you will oversee the HR team's training and development and marketing activities, developing and improving processes and services which enhance our HR offering.
In this role, you will report to the Associate Director of HR, regularly updating them on HR workflow, cases, operations, and performance, and you will line manage the L&D administrator.
This role is suitable for those with proven experience in an HR role, including some exposure to employment relations casework and advising others on policy, legal obligations, and best practice.
You will have a can-do attitude approach and excellent organisational skills. Have strong HR experience gained across all areas of the employee life cycle, and be being a strong communicator with a pragmatic approach.
**A day in this role will include the following**:
- Provide advice to management on employee relations.- Administering employee policies and procedures.- Assisting with informing managers on how to get the best out of their staff.- Regularly updating and improving existing policies and procedures.- Advising on company benefit packages.- Payroll processing and administration.- Assisting with various HR projects as and when needed.- Responsible for the overall HR administrative duties such as updating the HR system, generating periodic reports, and conducting new starter inductions when required.
**To be successful in this role, you will have the following**:
**Essential**- Proven track record of working as an HR advisor HR (minimum three years)- Educated to GSCE standard or equivalent - Maths and English.**CIPD level 5.**- Payroll Knowledge: Legislation knowledge of Statutory Payments and Deductions, including SSP, SMP, TAX, and NI.- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.- Excellent communication skills.- Flexible approach to working.- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.- Excellent organisational skills, high level of numeracy, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
**Desirable**- Cascade and HRIS experience desirable.
Project management experience.
