Fast-growing Perthshire based civil engineering and building contractor requires a Site Manager/Working Foreman to join their team working on a variety of building and civil projects in and around Perthshire and Scotland.

You will report directly to the Contracts Manager on all matters relating to the day to day running of the allocated site and will have full responsibility for the required standards of Health and Safety, protection of works, presentation and quality of the product.

You will run sites safely, to the agreed programme, motivating members of staff with you, and will work with sub-contractors, suppliers, customers, utility service providers, Local Authority personnel, H&S Executive, members of the public

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The following list of duties and responsibilities is intended to reflect the principal elements of the Site Manager/ Working Foreman role only and is therefore not exhaustive:

- Carry out groundwork tasks, such as house and garden room foundations, drainage, cut and fill exercise, amongst other groundworks and building tasks.
- Manage trade and labour.
- Follow drawings/plans for project.
- Assist with all aspects of site works as required.
- Read, understand and comply with Company Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Maintain and produce up-to-date Health & Safety records.
- Ensure that procedures and controls laid down by the Company are fully implemented by all site personnel.
- Motivate, support and manage directly employed site staff. Provide training, coaching, appraisal and support as required to improve the performance of directly employed site staff.
- Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times.
- Ensure site security and good practice is maintained at all times.
- Thoroughly inspect and handover each construction phase as required by company policy and contractual documentation.
- Ensure all site administration is carried out in accordance with Head Office requirements.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks in accordance with operational needs as requested by your managers.

**Qualifications - essential**
- CSCS Card at Site Manager level
- Tracked excavator ticket, NPORS or equivalent
- Current full UK driving licence

**Qualifications - desirable**
- NVQ Level 3-4, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate
- Valid Scaffold Appreciation certificate
- Valid SMSTS/ SSSTS certificate

**Experience**
- Trade experience and site experience
- Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety obligations and building legislation special requirements

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
