Main Responsibilities
**Training**

We don’t expect you to know everything when you join Gray Healthcare We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, meds etc.) followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc. and finally, you’ll complete shadow shifts.

Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.

**Recruitment Process**
- Telephone interview with specialist recruiter to go through the role in more detail and find out more about you and why you have applied.
- TEAMS interview with Community Support Manager
- Compliance & Background checks including employment references, Right To Work checks and Enhanced DBS.

**Hours**:
We typically have 12-hour shifts but there is some flexibility around this. We have the following contracts available:
The vacancy is Bank Hours 2 x 12-hour shifts - 9am to 9pm and be on the back-up rota.

**About You**

We are looking for people who have worked in social care previously, ideally mental health diagnosis and self-harming behaviours.

You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have 6 months Health care Experience in the UK.

You must be already registered with Social Care Wales or be prepared to do so.

Job Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Male Bank Support Worker within in the Merseyside region, you will join a specialist team supporting individuals in the Liverpool area within their own home.

We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Substance Misuse issues, and people who require support with their Mental Health.

People we support are cared for by a male only team on a 1-2-1 basis.

They have their own mobility vehicles so you will be required to hold a full, manual driving licence.

All the people that we support live in their own properties and have their own teams providing 24 hours support from a 1:1 to a 3:1 basis.

You must have experience of providing support to a person with complex needs and behaviours that may be perceived as challenging within the UK and have experience of understanding and implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.

Gray Healthcare are different to most care providers in that that we are clinically led. That means that there is a team of clinicians including nurses, occupational therapists, and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) specialists involved in developing the care and approach for each person that we support. This provides more direction to the Support teams; it is an inclusive approach that is proven to work to improve the lives and outcomes of the people that we support.
