JOB TITLE: Beehive In-house Agency - Senior Motion Designer

LOCATION: Edinburgh / Bristol / Halifax

SALARY: £56,421 - £65,000

HOURS: Full Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.

About this opportunity

Beehive, our in-house creative agency sits within Brands Marketing and Experience, which is part of the Consumer Relationship division. We opened our doors in 2021, and we’re now a 40 strong team of passionate designers, artworkers, copywriters and client services. We’re about to embark on our next phase of evolutiongrowing our team to enable us to better support the growing demand for more personalised, digital 121 customer communications.

We work in partnership with communication teams across Brands, Marketing & Experience (BMX) and the Chief Customer Office (CCO) - working together to get every brief right first time - whether it’s copywriting that makes the complex simple, a personalised one-to-one campaign that drives action or in-branch material that is perfect for the time and place.

A little bit about the role

Motion work is increasingly in demand in our team right, so we’re looking for someone who can lead and develop this growing part of the team. We’re looking for a passionate motion and graphic designer who can create scroll stopping social and engaging digital content.- Drawing on your design fundamentals, whether creating short form animations, video content or DMPs for our branch screens, you’ll set the standard for what good looks like.- You’ll help our customers to understand how we can support their financial needs through the creation of best-in-class marketing communications.-
- Whilst the role is for a motion designer, we also want someone with all round skills, who is willing to jump in and support the team during peak times.- Presenting creative work to our comms partners. You’ll be a great storyteller to bring your ideas to life, presenting work to our senior team.- You’ll have strong influencing skills, with the ability to challenge directly in a respectful and collaborative way.- You’ll lead a small team, often managing competing deadlines - so the ability to deal with ambiguity and stay calm under pressure is essential.- Taking ownership of creative projects and briefs from start to finish, ensuring the brand visual identity of Lloyds Banking Group brands is always consistent- Working with copywriters to bring simple, tactical direct response communications ideas to life.- Leading and nurturing a team of motion designers, working closely with the Creative Lead and Client Services team. You’ll help to build a brilliant team culture, nurturing career conversations and personal development.

What you’ll need- You’ll lead a small team of motion designers, setting the standard for all work that leaves the agency, in collaboration with our Creative Lead.- Highly proficient in After Effects or similar, Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or Sketch.- You'll be a brilliant designer, with a proven track record in creating scroll stopping social for our brands.- A customer first mindset, ensuring our creative is designed with accessibility in mind and in line with the principles of Consumer Duty.- Conceive original, and innovative campaigns, that help to differentiate our Brands and strengthen our relationships with customers.- Build a brilliant wider team culture, nurturing career conversations and personal development. Line management is a key part of this role.- Highly driven creative with extensive experience in 121, personalised communications and leading strong creative teams.- The ability to take and develop an effective brief and understand requirements, directing others to execute on a brief and deliver high quality outputs.- A strong eye for detail and consistency is essential.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability and gravitas to propose your ideas with a clear and compelling rationale.- With 14 brands in our portfolio, you’ll know your way around a set of brand guidelines or two - building, applying, interpreting and challenging them.
