Due to the success of our training programmes we have been expanding our operational areas and are seeking suitably qualified applicants to support our delivery team and have opportunities in the West Midlands Region for the following full-time position:
Employability trainer (Birmingham, West Midlands)

As part of the Mercury Training Unemployed Programme you will be delivering accredited employability training to customers that will assist them in finding work and support them with their career progression.

Joining the experienced Training Team, the role is to deliver a range of training courses that will prepare them to progress through our proven training programme and towards meaningful employment.

**What You Will Be Doing**

Delivering our approved and pre-written training in the Mercury Training centres.

Depending on the individual needs of customers you will suggest improvements to training material via regular standardisation sessions.

Assessing the customer’s ability and support needs through a range of assessments, including observation and written assignments.

Keeping records of customer attendance, engagement and outcomes.

Completing mandatory paperwork to meet contract compliance and agreed quality standards.

Carrying out information, advice and guidance.

A formal teaching or training qualification (minimum level 3)

Proven experience of working with unemployed people would be beneficial with experience of encouraging and supporting learners.

You must have a well organised approach to work load, experience of working independently and using own initiative to varying audiences and learning needs.

You must have your own vehicle as traveling between our training centres is mandatory.

Previous experience of working with confidential data, utilising high levels of attention to detail.

You must be very well organised and possess a focus on quality. The ability to work under your own initiative as well as accurately sticking to defined processes.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
