**Job Title: Groundworks Supervisor**

**Location**: Southampton, Hampshire

**Role Overview**:
As the Groundworks Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the finishing works of a housing project, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. You will lead a team of groundworkers, coordinating their activities and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your expertise in finishing works will be crucial in delivering a polished and professional final product.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the groundworks team to ensure timely and high-quality completion of finishing works.
- Oversee tasks such as paving, kerbing, drainage, and other groundworks finishing operations.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, addressing any issues promptly.
- Liaise with site managers, contractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents or issues that arise.
- Provide training and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor, particularly in housing projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with groundworks finishing tasks such as paving, kerbing, and drainage.
- Valid Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license.
