**Your future plans**
The Freight Trading Desk is responsible for managing RWE Supply and Trading’s (RWEST) dry bulk freight exposure. The desk operates a proprietary physical and financial trading book within RWEST, which includes a portfolio of long term forward physical positions.
- You will be responsible for managing a successful commercial team of 8 people, located in the UK and Singapore. Supporting their personal, and team development.
- You will have the management and ownership of the risk taking strategies within the freight trading team. Taking responsibility for the team Profit and Loss as part of a wider trading team, and maximising the profits.
- Supporting the existing freight analysis and expanding it for the benefit of the team and RWEST.
- Working closely with other commercial, and non-commercial RWEST team members to encourage comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the freight trading business.
- Managing relationships with various counterparties across the globe and across various cross-sections of the shipping business Representing RWEST and the Freight Trading team’s best interests internally and externally.**Your powerful skills**
- Excellent listening, communicating and team work skills - able to build strong relationships with team members, internal departments and external counterparties.
- Detailed understanding of the financial and physical freight trading market, with 5+ years freight risk taking experience.
- Ability to lead from the front, and empower others to lead.
- Comfortable making important decisions in high pressure environments, as well as delegating decision making responsibilities to others.
- Strong risk assessment awareness and experience.
- Fluent in the full trade life cycle of different structured physical freight deals.
- Good understanding of spot and forward markets, liquidity, an appreciation of risk and its measures, volatility, arbitrage, swaps, options, counterparty credit and contract issues.

**Advantageous, but not a must**
- Existing senior relationships in the freight physical, and financial market. Knowledge of Endur and IMOS risk and freight reporting systems.What we value most is passion, willingness to learn and a determined and resilient work ethic.
