We are seeking to employ and train 4 craft apprentices. You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as a craft apprentice. You can become a Skilled Fitter / Welder.

**Qualifications Required**:
Essential - 5 GCSEs at 9 - 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

**Vacancy Full Description**:
We are seeking to employ and train 4 craft apprentices.

You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as either a craft apprentice. Following your apprenticeship, your first appointment will be one of the following roles:
**Skilled Fitter or skilled Welder**

When onsite apprentices will work alongside trained staff to enhance their skills, putting into practise what they have learnt at the College.

This can range from:
Shadowing skilled fitters / welders and manufacturing engineers

Fitting

Welding

Performance acceptance testing

Continuous improvements activities

Using:
Joining Techniques - Vacuum Brazing, Welding capability

Heat Treatment and Chemical Processing capability

Components produced from a variety of different materials

Apprentices will be required to comply with all ethical, environmental and safety regulations. While onsite apprentices will rotate during year 2 throughout departments to ensure competency in all required skill sets.

Year 1: Mon - Thurs 8.00 - 16.30 & Fri 8.00 - 12.30 Years 2 - 4: Mon - Fri 7.45 - 16:15

**Salary**:
£12999 per anum

You can become a Subject Matter Expert in Skilled Fitter, Welder or Sheet Metal Worker on completion of the apprenticeship

**Training to be provided**:

- Engineering Basic Skills training - off the job full time at In-Comm Training, Telford.
- NVQ Level 3
- A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3)
- In house training in line with your requirements.
