**The opportunity**

We have a brand new and rare opportunity for a trainee Insurance Broker to join our team. We are looking for an experienced Administrator or Customer Advisor, ideally from a regulated environment such as financial services, legal or banking, who is wanting to progress and become an Insurance Broker, following a structured and accredited training path, whilst also learning on the job.

You will be joining a highly experienced and friendly team, based in our office in Birmingham. The role will support the broking team in areas such as new business proposals, along with servicing adjustments and renewals of various types of insurance policies within the real estate and construction sector.

This is a key role that will be responsible for supporting the growth and profitability of the business whilst ensuring full FCA compliance in all aspects of insurance. Our brokers ensure a high-quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their specific needs and requirements.

**Key areas of responsibility include**
- Ensuring all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Polices and Guides to Best Practice.
- Always promoting exceptional customer care standards.
- Developing and maintaining a professional working relationship with all clients and providing expert product advice and guidance.
- Ensuring accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer and conducting high quality work in relation to; New Business, Renewals, Mid-term adjustments, Queries, Premium Finance Arrangements, and Issuing Cover Notes.
- Supporting the broker team to actively secure renewal business by re-broking existing business to ensure the client is presented with the most suitable and cost-effective cover.
- Supporting our Account Executives with duties where required.

**What we’re looking for**

To be successful in the role, you must have the following skills;
- Previous administration experience ideally from within a professional services / regulated environment.
- Ideally some knowledge of insurance products but not essential
- Experience of working to high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- I.T. skills including use of a customer database system
- Strong organisation skills
- Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers.
- Willingness to work towards Cert CII or already hold qualifications
- Local to Birmingham and happy to be based in the office Mon-Fri
