Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and support our daily operations. This is an entry-level job but if you’re good at it, you’ll be invaluable in making sure our kitchen is always sanitised and tidy and there will be opportunities for progression if this is something that interests you.

Your responsibilities will include washing pots and pans, keeping floors clean, sanitising food preparation areas, and on occasion helping with food prep work. If you think you’ll enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen, we would love to meet you.

Ultimately, we are looking for a motivated individual who will be proud to be part of our team.

**Responsibilities**
- Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitised
- Sweep and mop floors as and when required
- Assist to clean up spills to avoid slips, trips & falls
- Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery to keep them in rotation
- Arrange equipment and assist with ingredient deliveries
- Keep the food and supply storage areas clean, tidy & organised
- Ensure bins are emptied into the correct storage containers & the refuse area is well maintained
- Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when required

**Requirements and skills**
- A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
- The ability to stand for long periods of time
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety rules.
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment
- Patience and cool headedness
- Own means of transport

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,000.00 per year
