**Purchase Ledger Manager**

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join a thriving business on a permanent basis.

You will manage a small purchase ledger team as well as being hands-on. So we are looking for someone with strong purchase ledger skills but also excellent leadership and management attributes.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Oversee the day-to-day processing within the purchase ledger department: coding, matching, and batching of invoices, posting invoices to the ledger and authorisation.
- Manage the workflow of the purchase ledger team.
- Forecasting and processing of weekly BACS payments runs.
- Monitoring card transactions and taking ownership of monthly reconciliations.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Handle queries in a timely manner, escalating where necessary.
- Ensure bank postings are reconciled along with purchase ledger control accounts.
- Ensure Month-end close off is adhered to within strict deadlines, including statement reconciliations and accruals.
- KPI responsibility within the department.
- Develop working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Provide periodic reports as required.
- Review processes for efficiency and accuracy and work to streamline and automate processes where appropriate.

Ideally we are looking for someone with relevant experience of managing or supervising transactional finance teams. Alternatively you could be an experienced purchase ledger professional looking for the next step in your career.

You may have studied AAT or even ACCA / CIMA.
