Head Gardener

You will be hands on with the team and competent to manage relevant contractors and control the horticultural budgets. Reporting to and working closely with the estate management team and owners. You must be able to train, support and motivate staff and take on responsibility for them. You will be capable of basic maintenance of equipment and managing the health and safety of your team.

The Head Gardener will need to be a good communicator and be able to adapt to changing the needs of the Estate and its wider objectives.

Applicants will ideally have a minimum of 3 years Head Gardener experience in a similar Estate or Gardens. This role is for someone who is dedicated, passionate, driven, hands on and leads by example.

The Head Gardener will be physically fit and hold spray certificates (PA1/PA6) and a driving licence ideally including trailer/ tractor. Experience with regular maintenance and servicing of garden and field machinery is essential, (ride on mowers, tractors, strimmers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, PTO driven topper, etc).

The Head Gardener will be able help to develop the team of existing members.

Working week: Monday to Friday.

References will be required.

**Salary**: Up to £45,000 live out. Possibility of accommodation with adjustment to the salary accordingly.

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
