**Job Summary
The Head of Sonata will have accountability for the success of the Sonata product globally, both for our clients and Bravura. The role is commercially focused and has a number of critical accountabilities:
Accountable for the overall product roadmap for Sonata - based on input from current/prospective clients, market research and industry insight and internal stakeholders.
- Accountable for the commercial management of the Sonata product. This includes management of pricing (in consultation with go to market teams), management of the cost of product and therefore resultant margin and management of the capital expenditure profile for R&D and product development.Accountable for product strategy - ensuring that the product remains contemporary, has the features required by our clients (current and prospective) and is managed over its lifecycle to remain a sustainable product offering.The Head of Sonata support presales engagements; understands client and market trends and requirements; has client empathy; the role will monitor industry trends and engage and influence the development and operational teams to fully leverage any advances.The Head of Sonata will work closely with sales, marketing, engineering and client services functions of Bravura to execute their accountabilities outlined above.
- A confident leader with experience leading global cross-functional teams, the Head of Sonata will guide the established products, and creation of new products, that improve customer experience, grow market share and are achievable to build and maintain. The Head of Sonata will be able to convince all parts of Bravura that what they are investing their time and money in will be successful.

**In this role, you’ll be responsible for**:

- Product roadmap and backlog based on customer feedback, research, competitor intelligence, industry trends and value
- Acting as overall Product Owner
- Interface for sales team on client demand to ensure appropriate alignment with defined product strategy
- Define, develop and deliver the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product portfolio working alongside the Engineering Manager
- Translating product strategy into requirements for prototyping, UX design and final development by engineering teams
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue and ROI
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Assist Marketing and Go To Market to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Bravura across primary market segments
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
- Own P&L for the product and proactively manages and influences to increase revenue, remove cost, and improve EBIT
- Works with the Engineering Manager to input into client proposals ensuring viability whilst aligning to product portfolio profitability thresholds
- Gather and incorporate customer feedback and own product portfolio performance measures to ensure usage and stickiness across products

**On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience
- Experience leading end-to-end product and propositions development
- Strong product experience including development of value propositions, messaging hierarchies, customer acquisition and retention plans
- Deep understanding of the market domain
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
- Experience working in enterprise software with demonstratable experience of driving business growth and an understanding of how technology and product can transform business
