We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile banking clients. They are currently looking for a Lead Business Analyst to join them for an initial 6-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension.

**Overview of the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has come available for a Lead Business Analyst to come and work within Insurance & Wealth Major Core Programmes. We specialise in delivering large scale strategic digital transformation initiatives - and we want you to be involved

We have embarked on a major transformation programme to improve the customer journey for millions of Insurance & Wealth customers. Working alongside our 3rd party provider, you'd be a key member of the platform migrations team that is pivotal in supportingthe migration of our complex legacy estate to a strategic platform that will combine the strength of the banks customer propositions with our 3rd party modern technology

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst who is confident, highly motivated and has a passion for working within a team. You will be responsible for shaping initiatives that are responsible for resolving complex and challenging problems.

You will join the programme and support on key initiatives that will form a crucial part of the successful migration of our platforms and customer policies.
- You'll be responsible for the requirement's analysis, process and solution design in order to realise customer value through excellence and execution, and working with stakeholders to determine feasibility of solutions/options for various platform migrations
- You will have the opportunity to generate innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities
- You will seek opportunities to 'simplify' our current way of doing things, challenging the status quo to support the delivery of a safer and simpler migration
- You will be working very closely with various stakeholders across Insurance & Wealth (such as Propositions / Legal / Risk / Operations) as One Team to deliver a safe and successful migration for our customers and for the Group
- You will conduct requirements validation with stakeholders, gain appropriate approvals, and manage the change processes for requirements documentation
- Feed in and review test scenarios, ensuring any defects are tracked and investigated, escalating issues and risks where there is impact on delivery
- Document business handover at project closure defining key information such as workaround processes for business as usual, feed into lessons learned and best practice.

**Key Skills and Attributes**:

- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills - able to build positive and cohesive working relationships
- Work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to agree the solution design. Identify opportunities for effective solutions for business improvement initiatives for non-automated and automated business processes
- Carry out data discovery to identify the effect of proposed change to the associated business processes, internal and external interfacing and external 3rd party processes
- Elicit clear and concise business and non-functional requirements to clearly articulate the business need in line with the business objectives, ensuring that traceability is maintained throughout the project delivery lifecycle
- Develop test requirements and scripts to drive robust, effective and qualitative testing
- Support business readiness activity to ensure that they are fully ready to accept the change and are prepared for implementation
- Analyse and articulate the impact of change requests, identify risks and challenges to time, cost or quality
- Plan and deliver First Occurrence Validation testing post migration to highlight and resolve post migration or warranty issues
- Experience in delivering large scale change in a large organisation is preferred

**Location**:
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from either the clients Bristol, Leeds, Halifax or Edinburgh offices as and when required.

**Working hours**:
Standard working hours with some flex where required.
