We Are Survivors is Greater Manchester based, survivor-led organisation whose aim is to create a society where no male survivor is left behind.

The organisation creates and facilitates safe spaces for boys and men (and trans and non-binary people) affected by sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation across Greater Manchester to access quality assured support. The service also provides support to their loved ones.

We Are Survivors is looking for a Charity Fundraiser Apprentice to join their team in the heart of the City Centre.

Job description.

As a Fundraiser Apprentice, you will be getting involved with different fundraising activities for your charity. Your job responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):

- Building and maintaining relationships to acquire new supporters and retain existing ones
- Securing funds and raising awareness of their charitable cause in line with agreed targets and KPIs
- Managing a portfolio of external stakeholders including supporters, volunteers, corporate partners and eventers
- Contributing towards the management of suppliers
- Maintaining a database of supporters
- Conducting research in order to gain valuable insight
- Developing and delivering fundraising plans as directed
- Putting together creative content to build a case for support
- Contributing towards the development of fundraising plans and evaluating their effectiveness
- Promoting fundraising propositions and using innovation to develop new ones
- Compliance with Fundraising and Data Protection regulations
- Addressing and solving problems within their role

Organisational Core Responsibilities

**Uphold the ‘Statement of Values’**: “With transparency, integrity and a commitment to predicting, educating and preventing males from being harmed by sexual violence; whilst offering male victims/survivors the care and compassion needed to cope and recover.”

Be an active part of supporting the organisation to achieve its aims to break the silence of the sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation of boys and men, including challenging myths and stereotypes that can silence male victims/survivors.

Adhere to strict confidentiality boundaries within your role as you have access to sensitive, restricted and classified information.

Respect individuals right to anonymity within and outside of the organisation.

Strictly adhere to all information governance policies and legislation set by the organisation and/or the Information Commissioner's Office.

Fully comply with the organisations policies and procedures.

Ensure that all quality standard frameworks within the organisation, including the accredited Male Quality Standard, are upheld and not compromised.

Entry requirements
- A-C (4-9) English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
- A passion for the charity sector

Training to be provided

The Juice Academy is an industry-led apprenticeship programme. They are partnered with Jane Montague Consultancy to deliver the Fundraiser Level 3. Apprentices work on the job within a charity whilst receiving 20% off the job training. The training is delivered by current industry professionals. The Juice Academy training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning (20%) within The Academy in Castlefield, and online delivery (80%) via Zoom. Apprentices will also receive the on the job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices go through an End Point Assessment. The Juice Academy partner with Apprentify, who support apprentices in the workplace through development coaching.
