Daniel Owen are pleased to be working with several long-standing, people-focused and friendly Sheet Metal Fabrication companies based in West Sussex. These companies specialise in Sheet Metalworking, Welding/Fabrication, CAD/CAM Operations, Assembly, Punching & Rolling and many more practices crucial to the sector. With over 70 clients across many sectors, their work is varied, fast-paced, and always interesting. With a close-knit team that are focused on communication, getting the job done, and doing it in a safe and engaging manner. On their behalf, we are recruiting for Sheet Metal Operatives, Welders/Fabricators and Brake Press Operatives to join the hard working team in the workshop and provide assistance pivotal to the day to day running of the distribution process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist in periodic stock audits.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and maintain a high level of efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any issues or discrepancies.

**As a Sheet Metal Operative you will**:

- Actively learn internal processes such as spray-painting, powder coating, heat treatments and assembly.
- Working with Sheet Metal products to ensure their on-time manufacture, assembly, quality of finish and dispatch.
- Inspect, sort, and organise products, ensuring proper storage and labelling.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.

**As a Welder/Fabricator you will**:

- Use Mig & Tig welding methods
- Fabricate quality sheet metal products on time and as per production quotas

**As a Press Brake Operator you will**:

- Set and operate Safan and Amada press brakes
- Fabricate quality sheet metal products on time and as per production quotas

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in Sheet Metalwork, Powder Coating, or Warehousing is a plus but not required.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
