**Position: Sheet Metal Draughtsman**

**Location**: Derbyshire

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create detailed technical drawings and plans for sheet metal components and assemblies using Solidworks software.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and precise drawings, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Review and analyze project specifications, sketches, and engineering drawings to identify potential issues or improvements.
- Coordinate with production teams to provide technical support and address any design-related queries during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the drawings.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in sheet metal design and manufacturing technologies.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a Sheet Metal Draughtsman.
- Proficiency in using Solidworks software for creating detailed technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal design principles, fabrication processes, and industry standards.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, sketches, and engineering drawings accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD software will be an advantage.
